What love language do you speak?
I receive love most clearly through Acts of Service and Words of Affirmation. I most frequently give love through Gift Giving (strongest, but least frequent) and Quality Time.
What is your favorite comfort food? Will you tell us about the first time you remember eating it?
My current favorite comfort food is the pre-made seven-layer nacho dip that you can buy from Jewel-Osco. I think I discovered it about 4 or 5 years ago, but I can't remember the first time I ate it, or why.
Many people try to just look on the bright side of life, ignoring problems because they want things to be rosy. Are you brutally honest with yourself, or do you prefer to sugar coat things?
I don't know about "brutually honest," but I rarely sugar coat my situation. I'm far more likely to take the cynical view, read situations in the worst light, and question my "true" motivations.
What's something that everyone assumes about you that isn't true?
The most common misconception about me is that I'm not a spiritual person. I'm actually devoutly Hindu, and spend a fair bit of time praying, reading scripture and educating myself about my religion. More recently, I have taken to daily meditation and praying before every meal. If you count my yoga practice as part of my spiritual practice, as I do, then I engage in ritual devotion 3-5 times a day. Related to this misconception, few people realize that I have a rigorously defined ethical system which I adhere to in situations large or small. Because I choose not to discuss my beliefs frequently, and do not take part in the larger Hindu community, few people notice these aspects of me.
