"In three words I can sum up everything that I have learned about life: It goes on."
- Robert Frost.
I suggest you ignore this LJ and instead read my work-related blog located at my website, or my LJ-mirror,
amuls_photos. In the interests of internet environmentalism, I have a meme filter. If you wish to read my memes, you must request to be added to them.
While my entries include simple links to online oddities, short stories and bad poetry, and semi-literate yet disturbingly honest accounts of my day, the bulk of my livejournal is written when I am lonely, depressed, or hurt. Try as I might, I rarely bother to write here when I am in a good mood. Please take these occasional fits of moroseness for what they are, and try to recognize the silence as the good moments.
Similarly, I only seem to read my friends' page when I am feeling isolated, and as a result, I have come to associate this habit with isolation. While I am aware that for many people, LJ is an extremely effective way to maintain and even strengthen relationships, it no longer does this for me. So while I have essentially stopped reading LJ, I still try to post semi-regularly, both for the habit of writing, and to try to provide the sense of connection which it still gives others.
So, to be clear: I probably have not read your latest entry, even if you have read mine. This is not because I do not want to be close to you, but because reading a computer screen no longer feels like sharing in your life. I want, I crave more direct contact with you, my friends, and would prefer to spend the time I could be reading LJ by contacting you directly.
If you miss me, if you want to hear about the happy parts I rarely write about, then email me, or call. Or, if your personal geography makes it convenient, invite me to play frisbee.
