I called a friend who can usually be relied upon to find the silver lining in all things. Instead, he griped at me for 40 minutes about some bit of drama he's been holding onto for years. I keep telling him that he's the only one pushing this conflict, and that he doesn't need to, but he just won't let go. ~sigh~ So when I was in need of a pick-me-up conversation, I just got hammered back down again.

Tell me about things you've achieved, goals you've set, conflicts you've moved past. Tell me something you're proud of. Make me excited about some part of your life.

I got to meet David Bromstad today, and Alex got some good news on his tax situation that will make it potentially easier by half. My financial aid award letter for 2010-2011 will cover a majority of my tuition, leaving us with only a few hundred dollars to pay over three quarters. I'm getting a tax refund, which will allow us to finally pay for a Georgia title & registration on the car, get his cat spayed, and let us fly my kids down to visit this summer. This next week I get to visit Cartier and Kravet (more interior design stuff), and hear Thom Filicia.

Despite the usual set of pressures and stresses, things are going pretty damned well lately. I'm very thankful.

We made it to the wedding, and were warmly greeted and much appreciated for our effort all around. Now I'm safe at home knowing we did the right thing and I managed to drive 6 hours today. All by myself!

That means we have all tomorrow for house stuff, and I even have some faith I'll be able to move the little chickens outside this week, now that the weather is nice.

The groom is planning a visit before he deploys, and will bring his shovel and help dig a hole for the pond, so while he's gone, we'll have a piece of our home he helped make happen where we can sit and think of him. This makes me happy.

My check came in, so I can pay the bills this weekend, and GS found a place to cash her checks where it only costs $3! woohoo!

I haven't used my e-cigarette in 6 weeks and Dr Pepper now tastes bad.

Life is good, and I get to see you in three weeks! :D
