Color Meme

gailmom gave me Gold.
1. Kodak Professional Photo Paper Boxes. Probably one of the most re-used boxes in the entire photographic community, and for some reason it gives me a bit of a thrill every time I get something packed in one.
2. Omelets. I've been experimenting with omelets for years now, adding different spices, exploring ingredients and such. I particularly love when I'm at a hotel and the complimentary breakfast includes an omelet station.
3. Pears. While my dad is generally big on fruits, he often makes his loud caricature jokes while eating many of them. His pat little routines. He doesn't have any associated with pears, and so whenever I ate them with my family there was this additional level of relaxation that came from knowing I was not in immediate danger of receiving a pun.
4. Gold Stars. I never get enough of them as a kid.
5. French vanilla ice cream. It's extra tasty.
6. Pee (when I've been eating my vitamins). When it comes out that color, I feel like I must be eating right, for a change. I don't even know if that's true, but that's how I feel.
7. Turmeric, perhaps one of the blandest spices known to Hindu cuisine, but full of ayurvedic goodness and a harbinger of tastiness. When I see food, or cookware, stained that deep yellow, I know that tasty goodness is on the way to my mouth.
8. The three gold leaf tumblers which I use as candle holders. I love the shadows that are cast by them.
9. Warning Notices, particularly the kind put in boxes. They are a source of endless entertainment for me. I have one that I am particularly fond of, from a newly purchased lamp, on my kitchen wall which reads, "Caution: Install bulb prior to use."
10. Smilie faces. Cuz they make me happy.
