The foundation (RED) utilizes stylish designer clothing and giant corporate sponsorship to help fund AIDS workers in Africa. The concept is brilliantly simple: brand the project and sell it on everything, which 50% of profits going to the cause.

those stylish clothing designers (like the gap) use sweatshop labor.

On the other hand, the Gap is contributing a full 50% of PROJECT (RED) profit to the AIDS problem in Africa, whereas the next highest contributor is 15%.

Ain't no choice ever been easy.

yeah, i'm just saying. i mean, it's all a publicity scam: activism is getting to be hip, so they're going to cash in. does it matter if they don't give a shit about the issue, so long as something is getting done? i don't know... nor should i really spend time caring. it's like kids who are veg*n because it's cool, but they say they don't actually care about animal rights--some kind of good is still being done. but oppression is oppression, & i still think it's pretty shitty that they'll ignore one kind while condemning another.

i'm not good at arguing/debating with people. i'm trying to just do my thing & set a good example & if someone asks me about it, i'll talk... i dunno. i've got too much shit going on to worry about how much the rest of the world sucks. one thing at a time, now.

That's how I generally feel.
