I've been humming a tune all day and I have no idea who sings it or what album or anything. The lyrics are, "A dance full of confusion / a rainbow of illusion / someone to hold / someone to need" and that's all I can remember. Google has failed me utterly in this, too, which weirds me out a little.

When I read those lyrics, this song popped into my head. It's not exactly the same, but it's along those lines a bit.

Frustratingly, I have just realized that it was song a girl in my HS wrote that I helped record a demo of for her "singing career." Thirteen years ago, and no clue what happened to her. I'm never going to find out the rest of the lyrics now.
