I can't remember if I've told this story already.

Back during my freshman year of college, I had my first opportunity to have sex. I'd been in a Long Distance Relationship with this girl since summer camp before my senior year in high school, and we were finally going to meet. My first clue, major brain that I was back then, that she would want to do more than make out with me was when she asked if I was bringing condoms.

Uh...of course I will. I've, uh, always practiced safe sex.

So I went to Student Health Services the next day, with this big, shit-eating grin on my face. I think I may have been giggling inappropriately while in line. When my turn came up, I proudly informed the nurse that I needed to buy condoms, because my girlfriend wanted to have the sex with me.

Thoroughly unimpressed, the nurse asked me how many I wanted.

I was stumped. High school sex ed class had taught me a little bit about the mechanics of this amazing secret, but I had only a vague understanding of the logistics. How often could we have sex? Was there some kind of recuperation period? How long did sex take? I didn't have the answer to any of these questions.

I don't know, I told the nurse. How much is A Lot?

Why isn't it profitable to hunt down and arrest spammers for a living? Surely the amount of wear and tear done to network hardware by spammers is measurable, and probably noteworthy.
