Doesn't LJ require a username/password pair and a net connection?
Most people use paper for their to-do lists. Paper is made from the mothers of orphaned trees (in the US at least although it Doesn't Need To Be That Way). I prefer to use electrons and silicon which is made from dead dinosaur and strip mining which is so much better.
I have an LJ client which is always on, and therefore takes much less time to load up than any of my text-editing programs. I post it onto LJ simply because that's faster than saving it as a draft and then opening it up again -- Semagic has a single keyboard shortcut for "edit last entry," but not for "open the last draft you saved."
And I use paper when not connected to the net. I'm an equal-opportunity polluter.
