Incredibly disturbing, a summary of some extremely significant points regarding the alleged Boeing that struck the Pentagon on 9/11.

Add this to the salient points raised by V for Vendetta, and I find myself wondering a great deal about things I am no longer comfortable discussing in public, given my ethnic background.

It is a strange and perplexing thing, to be so completely unable to judge truth from lie. I struggle between each side of this story, and am all the more appalled to find myself thinking of them as "sides" of "stories."

The only reason you have to be disturbed is that persons of middle-eastern origin have made themselves the enemy of your country, and that your unfortunate physical resemblance to them may expose you to the prejudices of some of our more idiotic citizens.

I find it rather disturbing, myself, that people continue to spread stories like the one you point to; they are symptomatic of an unwillingness to confront the reality: that we are at war with a culture of absolute barbarity that is bent on our destruction or enslavement. They are so focused on their crazed disgust with their own culture that they create elaborate fantasies such as this in order to cast aspersions on their political enemies. Simultaneously, they ignore the fact that Islam is utterly opposed to everything they hold dear in order to embrace it as a fellow enemy of everything American.

I think it's possible to accept that we are at war with Islamic **extremists**, that such a war would be taking place even if our country was not being systematically taken over by the religious right, while still questioning the integrity of our own politicians.

And, for the record, since 9/11 I've been subjected to more blatant prejudice from government employees than by citizens.

It was a horrific event. It is entirely within the power and psychological capabilities of the current administration to stage the events that we witnessed that day. Some day, we will know the truth of how the Whitehouse/Pentagon/CIA/NSA fucked us over.

People can believe the official story for only so long as the facts are realized. It disgusts me to no end.
