survey meme
1 March 2006 00:49Found this while trolling through the hell hole that is the LJ archives. A survey from two years ago. Strange, how the answers change.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Drifting off to sleep under a pile of friends while we all watch movies
What is your greatest fear?
That my efforts will be insufficient
Which living person do you most admire?
Nick Park
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
apathy and/or self-doubt (the two are usually deeply intermingled)
What is the trait you most deplore in others?
timidity
What is your greatest extravagance?
my clothes
On what occasion do you lie?
Only when I'm afraid of being judged for what I once was but no longer am. I'm working on quitting that crap, too.
Which living person do you most despise?
I can't think of anyone off the top of my head.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Photography
When and where were you the happiest?
Standing on the dancefloor and realizing, I know half the people here.
Which talent would you most like to have?
to sing
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Artistically: The Echo Gallery exhibition
Professionally: the one year I managed to report an income above the poverty line.
Personally: a recent email conversation with Nixicat
What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
being dependant on other people's opinion of you for any sense of self-worth
Where would you like to live?
Closer to my friends
What is your favorite occupation?
Photography, although I'm beginning to miss programming an awful lot, too
What do you most value in your friends?
accesibility
Who is your favorite hero of fiction?
Grimjack
Who are your heroes in real life
a large variety of writers, photographers, and other artists, whose chief distinguishing factor is that they have succeeded by believing that their visions do not need to bend to the whim of their audience.
What is it that you most dislike?
indecisiveness
How would you like to die?
Complications due to a (successful) act of heroism
What is your motto?
I have several:
"The way it works is, you do the thing you're scared of, and you get the courage after, not before."
"Step 1: Collect Underpants. Step 3: Profit!"
"I can do more."
"Do it today."
