Really? He likes to have fun? How peculiar.
"I know, I want to email him and ask, How did you first get into that, anyway?"

"She did this one scene where she stood on the edge of a pit while her boyfriend pummeled anyone who came close. It was fucked up."
A pit? Like, a bear pit?
"No, you dumb fuck, a mosh pit. I think that really says something unhealthy about her."
Me too. I'm all aroused now.
"Man, we have got to get you laid."
Can I watch you beat somebody up while I'm doing it? Then I'm not interested.

I find that to be strangely high praise. The idea that you find my work compelling enough to want to be a part of it even if I was a total scumbag.

Excuse me, but weren't you wearing a sweatshirt before?
"Yes, I was. Hi, I'm Heather. You're Amul, you're the photographer that lives next door, right?"
Uh....I mean, yes. That's me. How did you...Have we met before?
"No, I saw you through a window while you were barbequeing in the parking lot and my friend knew you. Do you do that a lot?"
Just the once, really. We keep talking about doing it again, but it's harder to plan that sort of thing than when it just happens spontaneously.
"That's always the best way."
*pregnant pause*
I feel like now would be a good moment to invite you on some kind of spontaneously generated grand adventure, through which we could get to know each other better. Only, I have all this work to do.
"It's okay. I'm really busy, too."
