I've spent the afternoon looking for a better gallery integration option for the site. I'm still unsure if I should merge the News blog (Word Press) with the rest of the website, or just find a gallery program and blend the two themes.

Surprisingly, I've seen very few photoblog themes for WP.

Here's some of the better systems I've seen:

Photon 4.0
is a bridge program between Word Press and PhpWebGallery. I like the fact that Photon is up to version 4.0, implying that there's been more debugging and active maintanence than some of the other WP plugins I've seen. Honestly, though, PWG has most of the features that I wanted from the WP integration: tag support, virtual galleries (letting me group the same photo into multiple galleries), and the calendar option seems pretty nifty.

Gallery seems like another well-supported gallery program. It also seems to have a lot of customer support, and will be part of Google's Summer of Code project, which seems like good enough reason alone to work with it. That clearly suggests a useful lifespan.
