I'm up to two (2) conversations I must now have for the sake of my sanity. And two (2) that I won't have for the same reason.
I mentioned before that two (2) of my friends have agreed to model for me since the....since she....since last Wednesday. One of them has been refusing my requests for a while now, and I only really kept asking her because I have little else to (2) talk to (2) her about. We were in a car together a while ago, and to (2) avoid the lull in conversation I asked her once again to (2) model for me. Again, she refused, saying that she didn't photograph well.
"Let the photographer decide that," I said. I may have raised my voice a bit in frustration.
At the party she told me that she wanted to (2) model for me. "You're right, Amul. It should be the photographer who decides." I wanted to (2) kiss her. I wanted to (2) cry. I wanted to (2) go back to sleep.
Wouldn't that be a wonderful world to (2) live in? Where someone could make their case and leave it at that, and actually change someone's mind? No begging or pleading or compromising. Just someone genuinely listening and open to (2) other people's opinions.
I'm simply too (2) much of a cynic to believe in such things.
