That was a fantastic night. Your outfit was really great -- I'd love to have pants like yours, but they wouldn't look as good on me. Oh, and I apologize once again for knocking you upside the head with the axe like I did! As I said, I have very little skill, just a lot of enthusiasm. I have a number of bruises from all the horsing around with the boffer weapons, and I'm pleased with every one of them.
It was actually pretty cool, when Sprite knocked my glasses off, I tried to continue fighting without putting them back on. The bluriness really helped me overcome my fear of getting hit.
I should not be more sore after an hour of boffer-fighting than I was after three days of raving.
*laugh* If there's one thing I did learn in my time with Amtgard over ten years ago, it's that getting hit is something that will happen anyway, even if you're really good. Thus why I had no problems getting hit at all and kept coming, regardless. :D
Still, I was much too in awe of Sprite's skills to attempt going against him. It's easy to see why anyone would be more sore from the boffer fighting; I'm not sure anyone would be quite so sore from three days of raving, but aside from our all-night Origins jaunts and dancing at 4QF fire circles, I've never raved. :)
