Grizzled Alley Kitten: so now, in the vernacular, when someone says it has "jumped the shark" - it has passed it's peak and is going downhill. Mostly in reference to entertainment, but has been used elsewhere.

Me: new to me

GAK: that's what you get for living in a hobbit hole
Me: I did not always live in this hobbit hole, thank you
GAK: but it's a comfy hobbit hole, not a dark, dank and nasty one
Me: I like it almost as much as my hobbit hole in Texas, where I spent nearly 3 weeks without ever stepping outdoors, except to see the chickens in the back yard.
GAK: I'm hoping you mean office space

(long pause)

Me: I am now struggling to try to put together some kind of Hobbit Hole / Journey to Mordor / Throwing the One True Ring Into The Fires sort of sexual innuendo.....and it's just not working.

GAK: Don't tell me about your burrowing habbits. I don't want to know.

Me: Yeah....I got nothing. Which is frustrating. You'd think there has to be something good in there, with the whole Frodo angle....

GAK: Good luck with that.
