amulI just woke up after a long weekend at SINSations in Leather, my first non-rope BDSM convention. There was actually a lot of rope there, and a lot of people I knew from ShibariCon and the local scene, which was nice.
Having just spent the weekend exploring a dozen aspects of BDSM which absolutely didn't interest me, and two that did, I'm more interested than ever in joining Galleria Domain, the only members-only club I've ever seriously considered joining. Time and money concerns have prevented me from deciding thus far, and I still have some concerns about dedicating so much of my time to my kama, but now -- particularly after discovering that I already know a lot of members there, and what's more, some of them know and respect me already -- I've decided that I definitely am going to join. I want certain experiences that I am confidant I will find (eventually) through such a membership, and that these experiences can teach me to have more confidence in my business demeanor, and relationship habits.
Now the only question is time. Running of the high of the weekend, feeling parts of me relax in Chicago that have been under tense strain except at Sci-Fi and sexuality conventions, or when I visit my friends back in Pittsburgh, I want to do it now now now. But next weekend is Carter Day, and it's been far too long since I've seen my Clan Too Much peeps. Two weekends from now is Frolicon, so I'd be paying a full month's membership for only two weekends out of this month if I go to Carter Day.
Advice? Opinions?
PS - Does anybody want to go to Frolic with me? I have a hotel room that needs to be filled with friends.
