Once again, I say...

If you don't support someone and encourage them when they are happy, excited, and eager, then you do not get to console or support them when they are down in the dumps. It's surprising to me how often people want to do this. I had always been told that your "real friends" are the ones that stick by you during the bad times, but in this age of chatrooms and rant sessions, I feel like the real lesson is that the spectators of your life want to be around for only one or the other, while the friends know how to support you even when you make decisions they don't agree with, and also are there for you when you're down.
