I finally checked out the Chicago Park District's Broadway Armory. I bought a gym membership there in back in November as a New Year's Resolution, but got sort of sidetracked....for months. I had all the info, knew their hours, everything. Just couldn't get off my ass to go.

Something about today felt different, and I decided that rather than trying to "start an exercise routine," I should just go there for a run. Right now. And I went and it was simple and exactly what I needed and awesome.

And then something else clicked on the way back, and I googled this yoga place that I'd found online shortly after I started pursuing this hottie who was really into Bikram Yoga. This place didn't do the Bikram hot yoga stuff, so I dismissed it initially. But their yoga teachings actually seem to have the basis in Hinduism, and specifically Vedanta Hindusim, that I've been wanting, and the schedule I want. They also have the Gita study class that I've been searching over five years now to find! And they're just a few blocks past the Broadway Armory gym!

So....now I could easily wake up, do my morning yoga routine, spend a few hours working, head down to the yoga place, get a run in before lunch and then spend the rest of the day working.

Man, I could even make the Gita study class and still have plenty of time to get to the dungeon! ~laughs at myself~

PS - Just so that I write it down somewhere before I forget, today I ran 1.5 miles in 30 minutes, averaging a heartrate of 124 bps. I could have worked myself harder, but I forgot to stretch first.
