The super cheap desktop does not have a video card advanced enough to connect to a TV. I suspected this, but had a spare video card that I could pop in, so I wasn't worried. Except that I don't.
Plus, it's a vertical tower, and not a horizontal one like in the photo online. So it doesn't fit in the space I found for it.
Figuring out where to put it has now become a logic puzzle.
Oh, and if anybody has a horizontal case and a spare video card, that'd be awesome.
I do not see DDR in my near future.
