5 September 2005
After a short wander through the hellhole that is my LJ Archives, I discovered that the actual date of my move to Chicago was October 1st. Which means that next month, I'll have been living in Chicago for a full year. I would like to celebrate by having people over to my home. October 1st is a Saturday, so I'm looking at what
pathogen refers to as a Neo front-loading party. Here's my idea:
The God Is A DJ Get Together
WHEN: October 1st, 2005, starting roughly around 7 or 8pm.
WHAT: Musical sharing shindig. Every person who attends is requested to bring a song or album (s)he wishes to share with others. We'll listen to them all, or as many as we can fit in before heading to Neo (a relatively quick trip by El). Alcoholic beverages are also welcome.
WHERE: My place, duh. Comment to RSVP and get the addy.
The evening will be about listening to music, not talking. Talking over the music, while allowed, will be discouraged.
People who don't know me as well as they'd like to are particularly encouraged to attend. People wishing to share music with me before/after/instead of are equally encouraged to do so.
Kudos to Bleys for throwing the first one, back in Pittsburgh.
