Nifty compliment I received a few weeks ago that I suddenly recalled: "There's never been a good time that couldn't stand having a little Amul added to it."

I went dancing. I was bad at it, but I was a little better by the end of the night. Matt made me dance with strangers, and he was right to do so.

NIGHT : an exhibition of photography

Night, an exhibition of photography will open at Damen Studio, June 17th and run through July 10th. This exhibition was juried by Jane Fulton Alt, and includes the work of 16 photographers.The opening reception will be held on Friday, June 17th from 6-9 p.m., we hope you will attend.

birthday plans update

Okay, so the Printer's Row Book Fair on Saturday, starts way earlier than I ever get up. I'll probably be heading there around 2pm. If anyone's interested, I'd love to do a brunch/lunch thing beforehand. Maybe a picnic kind of thing?

The restaurant laustinthedark mentioned, Indie Cafe, does not accept Saturday reservations. I have no idea how many people are coming (if any), but they have a maximum seating capacity of 28. Anyway, this should be happening around 7pm. Please give me a call before you head over. If you don't have my cell #, email me or comment here and I'll email it to you.

I plan on taking it pretty casually after dinner, but would like to be Out And About. Can anyone suggest bars or clubs we might check out? I assume we'll eventually hit Neo.
