Why must I wiki every stupid thought that comes into my head?

After a solid week of jokes regarding my inability to distinguish between living and deceased celebrities (after the Heath Ledger story), I've been checking wikipedia for information on several celebrities whom I could not be sure were alive.

According to wiki, Pamela Anderson is indeed alive:

In January 2006, Anderson requested that the Governor of Kentucky remove a bust of Colonel Sanders, the founder of KFC, from display but her request was refused even when she offered her own bust in exchange.

Also according to wikipedia, it was Heath Ledger who starred in 10 Things I Hate About You, and not, as I had thought, River Phoenix.
